Mount Roberts Trail Challenge Run Franklin Street, downtown Juneau to the cross on Mount RobertsDistance: 3.1 miles, climbing 2,000 feet above sea level. There is no set course between the start and the finish. Location: start in front of the Foggy Mountain Shop on Franklin Street, downtown Juneau; finish at the cross above the tree line on Mount Roberts Course: runners enter the trail at the top of Sixth Street on Starr Hill and may choose their own route from Franklin Street to that point, provided it avoids private property. Runners are asked to stay off the worn short cuts where the established trail switches back. Start Time: 9:00 AM. Registration in the shop from 8:30 AM, closing at 8:55 sharp. Registration Fee: 9 dollars, including a T-shirt for the first 50 to register Sponsored by the Foggy Mountain Shop. Runners under 18 must pre-register and have an adult sign for them.
