Lena Beach Picnic Area May 24th 2025 (Saturday) 9:00AM Upcoming! | There are two distances to choose from; 5 kilometers or 1 Mile. Both distances start and end at the beautiful Lena Picnic area. The start and finish for both distances will be on the paved Lena Loop Beach/Picnic access road. 5k runners will take a left onto Lena Loop Road and go towards Glacier Highway. They will turn right onto the highway (staying on the right side of the road). They will then take the first right off of the highway onto Pt. Lena Loop Road, which they will follow all the way back around to the start (being careful to take a left where the road forks at Ocean View Drive). 1 mile runners will take a right when they get to the intersection of the Picnic access road and Pt. Mendenhall Glacier parking lot March 29th 2025 (Saturday) 10:00AM | Start Time: 1 Mile 10:00 AM 10K 10:30 AM Distance: 1 Mile or 10K Fee: Adults: $15 pre-registration, $20 same day Youth (18 & under): $5 Save money by registering online by 8 PM the night before the race. This event takes place on the Tongass National Forest. Course: Out-and-back routes along Glacier Spur Rd.
