Veterans Day Run
| Mendenhall Glacier parking lot, Juneau | Eight kilometre road race, the traditional close of the Juneau running season. The course ran from the Mendenhall Glacier parking lot, around Mendenhall River School and back to the glacier - 4.97 miles. Organised by Craig Farrington and sponsored by the Southeast Road Runners. The run had been cancelled for the previous three years because of weather and was staged regardless in 1992; 34 people started and all of them finished.
Not an Empire Cup event this year - adding it to the Cup series was a stated goal for the following year.
SOURCE AND COMPLETENESS: results are taken from the Juneau Empire of 10 November 1992, "Veterans Day run caps local running season" by Greta Gard. The article names only 15 of the 34 finishers and gives times for 13, so the results below are a PARTIAL field rather than the full one. Jeremy Collie and Jerry Buckley are named as finishers but no time was printed for either, so they are not listed. Times shown are as printed. | DefaultRaceDirector Unassigned | 1992-11-07 10:00:00 | no | no | yes | Registration Form |
