| Event Description | Distance: five legs of 3.4, 3.5, 3.5, 5.9 and 5.3 miles Location: Juneau An Empire Cup Runners Series race, run on Memorial Day. The Juneau Empire published this relay leg by leg - every runner's individual leg time, under the five leg names: Valley, Bay, Loop, Long and Glory. It printed no team names at all, so the results here are 140 individual leg performances and the event carries no team standings. Gary Smith ran three legs, the Valley in 19:36 and the Loop in 19:32 - the fastest time on each - and the Glory in 28:48. Laddie Shaw and Adam Johnson each ran two. Rick Thibodeau was quickest over the Long leg in 33:29 and Chris Smith over the Glory in 28:10.
