The Empire printed the top twenty-five finishers. Steve Schmitz won in 9:22, eight seconds ahead of Guy Thibodeau. Schmitz had been preparing for this race since May, and the Empire's report on the Governor's Cup a week later looked back on it as his day in the sun. Only the first twenty-five are recorded; the size of the rest of the field is not known. |
