Description
|
A ten-kilometre run and walk for the American Heart Association, raising money through pledges for each runner, put on by the Friends of Hearts and Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance rather than by the running club. The Empire calls it the first National Run For Life Day held in Juneau.
The event was non-competitive and no results are recorded. The finish at the Juneau Fire Hall was followed by cardio-pulmonary resuscitation demonstrations and free blood pressure checks.
