The Muckers Run, a 5K and a 10K on Thane Road, Saturday 18 April 1987. Twenty-eight finishers.
Mike Thomas won the 5K in 20.23 and Rafael Soto the 10K in 40.18. Nikki Mielke and Sue Norvell were the women's winners. Jetta and Zina Higgs finished the 5K together in 57.18 and are both shown sixth.
The Empire printed an age bracket rather than an age for every runner - 23-29, 30-35, 36-44, 43-46, 45-55, 56-65, and "elem." for the elementary-school entrants. Those brackets are not recorded against the runners, because a bracket is not a birth date and the site calculates age three different ways from one. |
