| Description | Veterans Day 10K Fun Run - listed in the Juneau Empire as an upcoming race when the 1990 Empire Cup standings were published. NOTE THE DISTANCE. This is a 10K. Every later edition on record is an 8K: the 1992 report, the 1993 and 1994 published results and the 1996 calendar listing all give eight kilometres. 1990 is the earliest edition on file and the only 10K among them. The date is not printed. It is derived from the rule that this race is run on the Saturday on or before 11 November, which reproduces every other known Veterans Day date - 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1999 and 2000. No venue was given in the source and none is assumed here. No results were published and none are held. The 1990 Empire Cup standings for the whole season are attached as a document. |
